Indonesia Future of Learning Summit

"AI-ducated: Unlocking The Future with AI Skills and Beyond"

The Indonesia Future of Learning Summit (IFLS) was born from the vision of REFO’s founder, Pepita Gunawan, to provide quality, affordable content easily accessible for educational stakeholders in Indonesia—with a strong local context.

IFLS 2025 is the fourth summit following the successful three previous events held in 2019, 2023, and 2024. For the past two years, IFLS has focused on AI in education—increasing awareness, exploring its use and benefits, and last year, highlighting the challenges and ethical considerations around it.

IFLS is beyond conference—it’s a dynamic, collaborative forum that brings together educators, policymakers, and all stakeholders to explore the future of learning.

The Theme

"AI-ducated: Unlocking The Future with AI Skills and Beyond"

“AI-ducated” blends AI and educated—symbolizing a new era where being educated means understanding the power and implications of AI. As educators and parents, our role is to embrace AI as a transformative force; approaching it with purpose, responsibility, empathy, and attention to psychological well-being.

Being AI-ducated means staying informed, adapting confidently, and making choices that balance technological progress with the mental health of students and teachers. Our goal is for AI to enhance, not diminish, our lives.

Preparing today’s learners for tomorrow requires more than just AI or digital literacy. The next generation needs essential skills as well as psychological resilience to truly thrive in an AI-driven world.

The IFLS 2025 theme calls us to make strategic decisions now so our children are not only ready for what’s next but empowered, mentally and emotionally, to lead in the future.

The Impact

Hundreds of educators, leaders, policymakers, and education enthusiast have had a tremendous impact from IFLS. Now it’s your turn to join a vibrant community that’s determined to shape the future of learning. It takes a village to raise a child, and the advancement of Indonesia is contingent on the collaboration of all societal segments. We must collaborate to nurture the next generation of leaders. Only through education, we can all contribute to achieving Indonesia Emas 2045.

IFLS 2019

It was the first event to mark REFO’s determination to make great impact in education in Indonesia. Pioneering towards the future of education, IFLS 2019 was attended by 90+ enthusiastic participants.

It was the second event. It was the first time REFO paved the way to an in-depth discussion on AI in education to increase awareness, explore its use and benefits. Attended by 150+ participants who were eager to learn and grow.

IFLS 2024

By 2024, AI was no longer a novelty in education. REFO again ventured to discuss it deeper, highlighting the challenges and ethical considerations around it. Attended by 250+ participants who were ready to be the changemakers.
